The Ideias do Levante cultural association offers individual singing lessons (classical, lyrical, jazz, pop-rock, traditional, etc.) and individual “combo” lessons, where in one class it will be possible to learn a instrument (guitar and/or piano) and learn to sing. The contents of the classes are worked on according to the expectations and needs of the students.

Individual singing lessons are for adults, teenagers and children, aged 6 and over.

[PORTIMÃO] The face-to-face classes in Portimão are aimed at teenagers (12-17 years old) and adults (>18 years old).

[LAGOA] The face-to-face classes are held in Lagoa, for children (6-7 years old and 8-11 years old) and teenagers (12-17 years old).

[ONLINE] Online classes are for adults (>18 years old).

Classes are offered in Portuguese and/or English.

The values of these activities depend on the desired modality.

For individual singing lessons, for ADULTS AND ADOLESCENTS, the prices are as follows:
- single class, 60 minutes, 35 euros;
- pack of 5 lessons, 140 euros, valid for one year;
- for individual classes, on a free basis, it is not necessary to pay a registration fee, fee, insurance or for the student to become a member of the association.

For individual singing lessons, for CHILDREN, in LAGOA, the prices are as follows:
- single lesson (6-7 years), 25-30 minutes, 12.5 euros. There is the option of a pack of 4 classes, 40 euros, valid for two consecutive months;
- single lesson (8-11 years old), 45-50 minutes, 25 euros. Pack of 4 lessons, 80 euros, valid for two consecutive months;
- for individual classes, on a free basis, it is not necessary to pay a registration fee, fee, insurance or for the student to become a member of the association.

There is the possibility of taking a “combo” class (guitar and singing or piano and singing), and the prices will be identical to those previously mentioned.

Those interested can always schedule a separate experimental class and, if they are interested in continuing, they can move on to the 4-class pack modality.

Scheduling the days and times of the classes depends on the existing vacancies, both in the rooms and in the teachers.

The Ideias do Levante cultural association offers choir rehearsals where choir members can develop their singing technique and their ability to sing in a group and/or individually. Group classes follow a specific program for each season.

Ensemble classes (choral group) take place in Lagoa, or online, and are aimed at adults and young people over 16 years of age. Classes are provided in Portuguese and English, and are guided by Professor Maria Saramago. The Coral Ideias do Levante group is a polyphonic mixed choir composed of elements of various ages and nationalities that presents a varied and international repertoire.
The first part of the class (30-45 minutes) is dedicated to voice warm-up and technical exercises, the second part is dedicated to interpretation work and repertoire construction.

The value of this activity depends on the desired condition and modality.

Non-members of the association:
- single class, 120 minutes, 10 euros;
- monthly fee, 20 euros, 4 or 5 lessons per month, once a week;
- for non-member classes, on a free basis, it is not necessary to pay a registration fee, membership fee, insurance or for the student to become a member of the association.

Association members:
- single class, 120 minutes, 5 euros;
- monthly fee, 10 euros, 4 or 5 lessons per month, once a week.
- to become a member of the association, it is necessary to ask the choir coordinator for a membership proposal form (to be approved at the next general meeting) and pay 5 euros (one time application fee). The annual membership fee is already included in the monthly payments.

Those interested can always schedule a free experimental set class and, if they are interested in continuing, they can choose one of the previously mentioned modalities. The aspiring member will enjoy a free month (until the end of the month the member joined). The amount will be paid (in cash) at the beginning of the class and/or until the first rehearsal of each month (via bank transfer).

For your reference, singing ensemble classes (choral group) usually take place, in Lagoa, on Wednesdays, from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm, in the multipurpose room at CEFLA - Lagoa Study and Training Center (formerly Lagoa cycle, close to the Municipal Sports Pavilion of Lagoa) and in the same complex where the Lagoa Court house is located. Remarks: When you enter the CEFLA complex you will have to take the door on the right (the one with a ramp and a few steps) just nest to the courthouse (tribunal). When inside the building, the rehearsal room is the first one on your left.

Interested parties should attend/participate in a rehearsal and, at the end of it, they should be consulted by the conductor to verify if the interested person can join the group.

The group's social time is before and after class. During class the focus is on work.

Note: We suggest that you never go to the class without being sure and confirming that the class will take place, as sometimes the location, day and time may change. If you are not a member or effective participant of the choir, you will not have this information, hence the need for prior contact to avoid inconvenience.

Individual instrument lessons, in Lagoa, Portimão, or online, are aimed at adults, young people and children over 5 years of age. Classes are oriented, via online and/or face-to-face. Classes are offered in Portuguese, English and/or Spanish.

The values of these activities depend on the desired modality.

For all instruments, the values are as follows:
- single class, 55-60 minutes (adults) = 30 euros;
- pack of 4 lessons, 55-60 minutes, 100 euros, valid for two consecutive months;
- for individual classes, on a free basis, it is not necessary to pay a registration fee, fee, insurance or for the student to become a member of the association.

There is the possibility of taking a “combo” class (guitar and piano), and the values will be identical to those previously mentioned.

Some teachers may make adjustments to the duration, frequency and prices of classes, depending on each situation.

Those interested can always schedule a single experimental class and, if they are interested in continuing, they can move on to the 4-class pack modality, discounting the amount already paid for the single experimental class, leaving 3 classes to attend.

[ GROUP CLASSES ]


Group classes (minimum of 3 students and maximum of 4 students) of instruments (piano, classical/electric guitar and ukelele), in Lagoa and Portimão, take place once a week, for 50/60 minutes and are aimed at adults, young and children over 5 years of age inclusive. Classes are offered in Portuguese and/or English.

Group classes follow the school year, and it is necessary to pay the enrollment in the classes, in the amount of 25 euros (amount paid once in each academic year) and a monthly fee of 35 euros. If, by chance, the number of students in the class is reduced to 2 or 1 student, the monthly fee will have to be adjusted accordingly.

Regarding Yoga, we have individual and group classes in Lagoa and in Portimão. Classes are for any level, from the most beginner to the most advanced.

In LAGOA, the classes (Hatha-Yoga) take place at the association's headquarters, in the city of Lagoa, on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a monthly fee of 25 Euros. Individual classes are by appointment subject to availability of space, facilitator and student. These classes can last between 60 and 90 minutes and cost between 25 and 40 Euros per class. This class lasts 75 minutes where 55 minutes are dedicated to Yoga and 20 minutes to singing bowl meditation.
